Nestled amongst woodlands
and sheep fields,
on the edge of Drymen village,
Mulberry Lodge is a tranquil and
cosy hideaway in the
Trossachs National Park…
Mulberry Lodge’s history spans three centuries and countless tales from families, locals, and travellers alike…
The original Lodge, built in 1888, was called Gateside Lodge. It housed the gatekeeper who managed the delivery entrance for Gateside House at the end of the estate. Once the Gateside estate begun to sell off pockets of land for individual homes, and no longer had need of the Lodge, it too was sold as a private home. The Lodge changed hands many times over the years until it was acquired by the Ford family who undertook renovations to the Lodge, including the addition of two en-suite bedrooms and the lounge on the ground floor; they also renamed their home Mulberry Lodge. They then ran the house as a much loved Bed & Breakfast until selling the Lodge in 2020.
Since 2022 Mulberry Lodge has been the much loved home of Samantha & Ryan who now look forward to welcoming you to enjoy the comfort, tranquillity, and luxury of the Lodge as much as they do.

Bedrooms
Mulberry Lodge has four lovely double bedrooms sleeping eight people in total. Three of the bedrooms can be configured as superking beds or twin beds, meaning that you have lots of options on the configuration of the rooms, whatever the make up of your party is.
On the ground floor are two superking bedrooms, both with en-suites. On the second floor there is a superking bedroom and a double bedroom, with their own washroom, which is complemented by the downstairs bathroom suite.
Quality is the key to our cosy and cloud-like beds; linens are Egyptian cotton, mattresses are high-end hotel quality and topped with a padded protector, and the pillows are from the White Company.
All of the bedrooms have been decorated with a neutral palette to allow you to unwind and drift off to sleep in calming surroundings.
Bathrooms
In the family suite you can luxuriate in the roll top bath with fragrant bath foams and salts and gaze at the sky through the double height windows. While in the master en-suite, the double rainfall shower is spa-like and rejuvenating.
With two en-suites, a family bathroom, and an upstairs washroom, Mulberry Lodge offers plenty of space for when the whole group is getting ready for a day out or when everyone wants to get showered straight after a hike.
It’s the small considerations that make a big difference when you’re staying at a holiday home, which is why the bathrooms are always well stocked, with lots of towels, plenty of paper, and a ‘community’ toiletries basket with a variety of items in case you have forgotten anything.

As well as the games and puzzles that live in the dining room, The Snug also has a beautiful chess table and little library, from which guests are welcome to borrow.
Lounge
With more than enough space for eight people, the inglenook fireplace, and views out to the garden and sheep fields, the lounge is the place that everyone wants to gather for a chilled movie night, boardgames, and great conversation.
Kitchen & Utility
A well stocked kitchen is the best kitchen - so we make sure there are always variety of goodies for guests to make their holiday meals special, such as oils, herbs and spices, a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate, and often other staples like sugar, flour, stock, pasta or rice. From blenders to baking trays, the kitchen is full of equipment to suit your needs, like baking on a rainy day, cooking a full roast dinner, or serving up a buffet spread.
The utility cupboard in the main corridor has a washing machine, tumble dryer, accessories like clothes horse and pegs, and detergents, fabric softeners and cleaning products that guests are welcome to use.
Outside Spaces
With only the sheep and cows as neighbours, a stream flowing through, and an elevated seating and BBQ area, the tree-lined gardens at Mulberry Lodge are a slice of green heaven.
The semi-wild gardens host a beautiful variety of flora and fauna and one of the loveliest features is how it blends in to the surrounding landscape. There are parts of the gardens that are not entirely fenced in so please keep this in mind if your group has any children or those who may need some extra care.
At the front of the house there is a large driveway with enough space for three cars. The double gates can also be opened up to fit a small fourth car into the garden area.
